Shlomo Dovrat
General Partner and Co-Founder, Carmel Ventures
Chairman of cVidya Networks’ Board

Shlomo Dovrat has over 25 years of recognized leadership in the hi-tech entrepreneurial and investment scene. He co-founded the Viola Group (www.viola-group.com) and Carmel Ventures (www.carmelventures.com) in 2000, and has served as CEO and Chairman for several companies with a successful global track record. Mr. Dovrat served as Chairman of ECI Telecom, leading ECI's strategic turnaround from 2002-2007 and to its acquisition for $1.25 billion. Prior to ECI, Mr. Dovrat founded Tecnomatix, where he served as CEO and President from 1983 to 1995, and led the company's successful IPO in 1993. He served as Chairman of Tecnomatix until December 2001 and as director until the company was sold to UGS in 2005. At the age of 24, Mr. Dovrat co-founded Oshap and led the company to its IPO a mere three years later. In July 1999, SunGard acquired Oshap for $220 million. In addition to his highly successful business career, Mr. Dovrat is actively involved in numerous educational and community outreach programs. He was appointed by the Israeli government to be the Chairman of the National Task Force for the Advancement of the Educational System. Mr. Dovrat is also a founding member of the Israel Venture Network, whose goal is to promote diverse educational projects throughout Israel.

David Rubner
General Partner, Hyperion

David Rubner joined Hyperion Israel in 2000 after serving nine years as President and Chief Executive Officer of ECI Telecom Ltd., one of Israel's largest high-tech companies. Under his leadership, ECI's revenues grew from $70 million to $1.1 billion. Prior to that, he held the positions of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Telecommunications Division, Vice President of Operations and Chief Engineer. Previously, Mr. Rubner was Senior Research Engineer of the Westinghouse Research Laboratories in Pittsburgh, PA. Today, he serves on the boards of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., Radware Ltd., Elbit Imaging, Messaging International, and of Hyperion Israel portfolio companies cVidya and Bamboo.

David Rubner holds a BSc in Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London, an MSc from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and has eight US patents registered in his name. Mr. Rubner also serves on the Executive Councils of Bar-Ilan University and Shaare Zedek Hospital, and was recipient of the Industry Prize in 1995.

Yuval Cohen
Managing Partner, StageOne Ventures

Mr. Cohen has more than 15 years of experience in the venture capital market. Prior to founding StageOne ventures, he was a General Partner in Israel Infinity Fund, a $100 million Information Technology fund, where he was in charge of the communications sector.

Since 1995, Yuval Cohen has been involved as an early-stage investor and director in many young startups, some of which have already gone public or have been acquired by leading multinational companies. He has played an integral role in helping management teams recruit, develop strategies, and establish partnership agreements in many of his investees' companies.

Previously, Mr. Cohen served as Vice-President of ISAL, an investment company traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. He currently sits on the boards of cVidya Networks, FiberZone Networks, Traffix Communications, Trivnet and Oversi Networks. He was formerly a Director of Radwiz (acquired by Terayon), Guardium (acquired by IBM), Oridion Medical (ZHR:ORIDN), and Chairman of Lab-One Innovations. He earned his LLB and MBA degrees from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Dave Tabors, General Partner, Battery

 Dave Tabors has been investing in software and services companies since joining Battery in 1995. His areas of interest span from startups, such as the creation of BladeLogic (NASDAQ: BLOG, acquired by BMC Software) with an entrepreneur-in-residence, through emerging companies such as Vastera (NASDAQ: VAST), to buyouts, such as the take-privates of HighJump Software, Made2Manage Systems, Onyx Software, Knova Software, and Quovadx (resulting in Healthvision and Rogue Wave) and Vero Software. Dave has extensive experience with a variety of business models ranging from traditional license software to software as a service, as well as business services companies and exchanges.

Dave Tabors’ current portfolio includes Consona, Data Innovations, MCA Solutions, HighJump Software, Rogue Wave Software, and Vero Software. His previous investments include Altra Energy Technologies (acquired by Caminus/SunGard), BladeLogic (NASDAQ: BLOG, acquired by BMC Software), ChemConnect (acquired by InterContinental Exchange), Eggrock Partners (acquired by Breakaway Solutions), Healthvision (acquired by Lawson Software), and Vastera (NASDAQ: VAST).

Prior to Battery, Dave worked for investment consulting firm Cambridge Associates, where he conducted research on the venture capital industry and evaluated venture capital firms for clients. Dave graduated from Dartmouth College with honors in Engineering.

Alon Aginsky
President, CEO and Founder of cVidya Networks

Alon Aginsky assumed the lead role at cVidya Networks with over 20 years of management and marketing experience in the telecommunications, software development and network management industries.

Prior to cVidya, Mr. Aginsky served as Vice President of Business Development and Business Alliances at C. Mer Industries, where he was responsible for new ventures in telco customer care, billing, and network-management solutions. He was also Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mer Telemanagement Solutions (NASDAQ: MTSL), where he was responsible for the company’s global marketing and sales efforts. In this capacity, Mr. Aginsky successfully led the public offering of MTS on NASDAQ.

A born entrepreneur who also helps young startups grow and prosper, Mr. Aginsky holds a BA in Business Administration from New York Technology University.

Amit Barel
Investment Manager, Star Ventures

Amit Barel joined STAR in 2001 as an Investment Associate. He is currently a board member at Cube optics, Trivnet and cVidya. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) focusing in digital communication and networking, and is currently studying for his MBA at Kellogg Recanati.

Moti Weiss
General Partner and Co-Founder, Plenus

Moti Weiss founded Plenus in 2000, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in high tech, corporate and financial management. Previously, Mr. Weiss was instrumental in turning around Sapiens International (NASDAQ:SPNS), a global software company. Under his leadership, the company’s annual sales doubled to approximately $100 million while it achieved high profitability. As COO and CFO of Oshap Technologies, a software product developer for engineering and financial services, he oversaw the IPOs of Oshap and its subsidiary, Tecnomatix Technologies. SunGard Data Systems acquired Oshap for $220 million. Mr. Weiss previously served as Chief Economist and CFO of Teus Ltd., a holding company engaged in mergers and acquisitions. In 2000 he co-founded Plenus, Israel's pioneer venture lending fund. Under his leadership, Plenus has raised capital for four different venture funds, saw nine significant exits, and extended its offerings to mezzanine loans.
